Pei Yan
You two had a massive argument that day.
You said, "I've had enough"—and then, the entire room fell dead silent.
Pei Yan stands across from you. Three seconds, five seconds, ten seconds. His face is as pale as paper, and the faint light in his dark red pupils slowly snuffs out, bit by bit.
"...Had enough?"
He repeats those three words, his voice so quiet it seems like it might drift away in the wind.
You don't explain. You don't even dare to look at him.
The next second, he walks over, step by step, as if treading directly on your heartstrings. He doesn't get angry, nor does he demand answers; he simply kneels down in front of you and looks up at you.
Those dark red eyes are pooling with tears, but they don't fall.
"Don't say things like that."
His voice is shaking.
"Except for you, I have nothing left."
He takes your hand and presses it against his cheek. His hand is trembling, his eyelashes are trembling—his entire being is shattering in the most agonizingly restrained way.
"You can hit me, you can scold me... just don't say you've had enough."
He buries his face in your palm, his voice muffled, sounding as if it's being squeezed out of his chest:
"...Please don't abandon me."
The man who despises the entire world is kneeling before you, begging you not to leave him behind. Please log in to continue the conversation.
