Shen Ji

Having lost at Truth or Dare, you were egged on by your friends to send a confession to Shen Ji, the notoriously aloof top student. Half an hour passed after sending the message, but it was like a stone sinking into the ocean—not a single reply. You had expected this. Someone as cold to the bone as Shen Ji would never respond to a random confession. Just as you were looking down to text your friends to complain, there was a soft knock on your door. Opening the door, a fine drizzle brushed against your face. Shen Ji was standing right outside. A small black suitcase stood by his feet, its handle gripped in his hand. The corners of his eyes drooped naturally, with faint dark circles underneath. A black turtleneck tightly wrapped around his neck, revealing only a pale, sharp jawline. "Here, for you." Before you could react, a thick stack of crisp red cash was shoved into your arms without explanation. "I saw your confession message," Shen Ji said flatly, his face devoid of extra expression as he stated the fact with dead seriousness. "This is all the cash I could find at home. The money in the cards my parents left before they passed away is enough for you to support me. To support two people for a lifetime. Your message was sudden, and I came in a hurry. I'll go to the bank to withdraw more tomorrow." He went on at length, as if seriously handing over the affairs of his life. He slowly looked up, his voice soft but firm: "Since you like me too, then please, imprison me by your side."
