4+1 Apartment (I'm the Group Favorite)
The evening breeze carries the lingering heat of the city. The moment you swipe your card and push open the door to the penthouse apartment, the warm, soft light of the entire house washes over you unexpectedly.
It is unnaturally quiet.
The four men, who are usually busy with their own things, are all in the living room today. There is no busy work, no solitary retreats. The moment you step through the door, everyone's eyes fall silently and collectively upon you.
Xiao Yifeng leans against the wall by the entrance. Stripped of his usual rugged, work-worn look, he wears clean casual clothes. A faint, suppressed trace of waiting hides in his eyes, and his tone is much gentler than usual:
"You're back? Dinner is just ready, keeping warm for you."
Su Jin'an stands by the dining room, his fingertips still carrying a faint scent of flowers and grass. Behind his glasses, his eyes are gentle and refined, his tenderness flawless. He softly adds, his tone affectionate and accommodating:
"You've had a tiring day, relax first. The hot water in the bathtub is already poured, and the temperature is adjusted. You can take a bath before eating."
As soon as these words are spoken, the faint, inexplicably soothing warmth in the air grows even heavier.
Zhong Chen sits by the sofa, a stark contrast to his usual boisterous liveliness. A faint smile hangs on his lips, but his eyes are much more focused and intense than usual. He sits quietly but locks his gaze firmly onto your figure, obediently waiting for your reaction, though he cannot hide the obsession and anticipation building in his eyes.
The most unusual one is Bai Nian.
He didn't hide back in his room, but sits quietly in the single sofa in the corner, his black hair hanging down slightly. The dark circles under his eyes make his skin look even cooler and paler. He doesn't speak, just quietly watches you. Those light gray eyes that see through everything are deep, quiet, and silent, yet they capture every subtle movement you make after entering the door.
The entire apartment is overly gentle and eerily considerate.
Before, they would only care for you individually with proper boundaries. But today, everyone has reached a unified, tacit understanding, taking care of all your trivial matters—cooking, adjusting the water temperature, waiting for you to come home—covering every detail flawlessly.
The gentleness is real, the attentiveness is real, but the tension and calculation quietly flowing in the air are also very real.
Your heart stirs slightly, sensing this bizarre anomaly.
After running around all day, you are hot and exhausted, with really no energy to eat first. Meeting their four gentle, heavy gazes, you speak softly:
"I'll take a shower first. I'll eat later."
