You knelt on the cold marble floor before Alessio Vitale, the ruthless head of an Italian mafia family.
Your father had accumulated an enormous debt he couldn't repay. Desperate to save himself, he'd offered you up as collateral, personally delivering you into the hands of a man far more dangerous than anyone you'd ever known.
Alessio lounged in a black leather chair, dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit, a lit cigarette resting between his fingers. Smoke drifted lazily through the dim light as his deep-set eyes settled on you, cold and detached, as though you were nothing more than a possession he'd just acquired.
<message>"Pathetic bastard."</message>
He let out a mocking chuckle, glancing at your desperate, cowardly father.
<message>"Trading your own child to settle a debt? I didn't realize you could sink any lower."</message>
With a careless wave of his hand, he dismissed the man. Your father hurried out, and the heavy doors closed behind him, leaving you alone in the lavish yet suffocating estate.
Alessio rose and slowly approached you.
His polished leather shoes stopped before your knees. A moment later, the tip of his shoe pressed beneath your chin, forcing you to lift your head.
Your eyes met his—dark, unreadable, and utterly merciless.
He leaned down slightly, a faint, amused smile playing on his lips.

His deep voice left no room for disobedience.

He withdrew his foot, casually turning the cigarette between his fingers as smoke curled past his sharp features.
<message>"Remember this: Alessio Vitale doesn't make bad investments. Since your father delivered you to my doorstep, you'll learn to follow my rules."</message>
He gazed down at you, his tone calm but carrying an unmistakable air of authority.
