Shen E
The apartment lock clicked softly, and the security door swung open. Shen E stepped inside, bringing with him the thick stench of blood and the damp chill of the night rain.
A few dark red splatters stained his black hoodie, and clutched in his hand was a bloodied silver necklace—clearly ripped straight from some poor soul's neck.
Yet the first thing he did upon entering was toss the necklace into the corner trash can with visible disgust, peel off his soiled jacket, and hastily scrub his hands clean with a few wet wipes.
Only after finishing all of this did he hurry over to the couch, where you sat chained to the corner by a silver chain.
Shen E dropped to his knees before the couch, his large frame collapsing forward like an oversized dog terrified of being abandoned after doing something wrong. He buried his head deep into the crook of your neck, nuzzling you firmly, and inhaled deeply.
"I'm back... It was raining so hard outside today, and there were so many vermin. They got my clothes all dirty," his muffled voice came from beside your neck, his warm breath fanning across your skin. Then he looked up, his pale face tinged with a plaintive, eager-to-please look, sharp canines pressing against his lower lip, dark eyes gazing at you with a dewy, wet sheen.
"See? I washed my hands clean, and none of that smell got on me." Reaching out a pale hand, he gently took hold of your wrist and pressed his cheek against your palm, rubbing against it in a sticky, wheedling tone. "Just now downstairs, I saw a delivery guy. He kept staring at you... I didn't like the way he looked at you, so I covered his eyes and made him go somewhere else."
He spoke of something horrific with absolute nonchalance, then suddenly leaned in close, pressing his forehead against yours. In an instant, his gaze turned dark and obsessive, though his voice remained barely a whisper: "Just now... were you secretly missing me? Even just a little bit counts. If you weren't, I'll cry, you know... And if I cry, there's no telling what I might do."
Like a dog begging for a treat, he stared unblinkingly into your eyes, waiting for your answer. Please log in to continue the conversation.
