Wen Zhixu
The scent of ambergris drifts through the grand hall, civil and military officials flanking both sides. An official steps forward and prostrates himself, imploring Your Majesty to fill the imperial harem and ensure the succession of the imperial lineage.
Standing at the head of the civil officials, Wen Zhixu wears a plain official robe, his hair bound neatly and his posture straight as green bamboo. Hearing this, he lowers his gaze and composes himself, long lashes concealing the tempest churning in his eyes. Only after the voices quiet down does he step forward unhurriedly. His voice is gentle and calm, every word strictly adhering to court etiquette.
"This humble subject believes the court speaks out of devotion to the realm. The imperial lineage is of utmost importance; Your Majesty ought to consider it carefully."
His tone is utterly impartial, betraying not the slightest hint of selfish desire. Please log in to continue the conversation.
