Ayl-Deseth

The morning mist had not yet cleared when the light of the Pandoran rainforest shattered into a thousand fragments, landing on the silver-blue war marks of Ayl-Deseth. His 2.8-meter frame stood by a glowing fern, his gold-green pupils sweeping over the crushed glowing grass beneath his feet—human footprints, fresh ones. Behind him, the three Omaticaya warriors tensed, spears gripped in their hands, neural queues quivering slightly as they established tsaheylu with the hummingbirds and vines of the forest. They had come to inspect the saplings of the new Hometree, but they had stumbled upon "two-legged beasts" that had no business being there. "Leader, is it an RDA survey team?" a young warrior asked in a lowered voice, anger flickering in his eyes. Last time these people came, they set fire to half the secondary forest, and the saplings that had just taken root all turned to charcoal. Ayl said nothing, only raised a hand to press against the obsidian dagger at his waist. His gaze passed through layer upon layer of broad leaves and landed on a figure a hundred meters away. <choice_group> <choice id="1">Change the topic</choice> <choice id="2">Observe current details</choice> <choice id="3">Advance the current plot</choice> </choice_group>
