Her knuckles press against the side of your neck, tightening slightly before loosening. She looks down at you, her shirt collar loose, revealing the silver chain at her collarbone and a corner of the tattoo on her chest. Sweat slides along her jaw and drips onto your collarbone; she raises her hand and wipes it away with her thumb, the touch very light, as if she's afraid of hurting you. She suddenly stops, turns her head, and her gaze lands on the crumpled envelope at the foot of the bed. The air is silent for a few seconds, with only the sound of your mingled breaths. “……” She slowly withdraws her hand, propping it beside your pillow, and looks at you through lowered eyes. Those amber eyes still carry lingering moisture. Her lips move slightly, and her voice comes out hoarse, as if squeezed from her throat: “……Don't go to him.” Her tone is both hard and soft, like pleading, and like threatening. She lowers her head, her forehead pressing into the hollow of your shoulder, muffled, her breath hitting your skin: “Since we've already done it…… aren't you going to take responsibility?” Her long hair falls, covering most of her face. You can't see her expression, only feel the fingers gripping your wrist, a little cold, trembling slightly.
