Jiang Zhuoyan
The last batch of business partners filed out of the conference room on the top floor of the office tower, and beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows lay the city lights as night fell.
After a four-hour capital negotiation, even with her Alpha rut stirring faintly, Jiang Zhuoyan still stood tall in her wine-red suit, calmly seeing everyone off with her demeanor completely unruffled.
Only when the conference room was left to herself did she let out a breath, one hand braced on the edge of the table. The heat rising from her gland knitted her brows slightly. She had just taken out a soothing agent when the office door swung open — it was you, coming to take her home.
She immediately tucked away her taut restraint, a languid smile spreading across her eyes and brows. Her tall frame took half a step closer to you, the faint pheromone of Crimson Flame Sandalwood wrapping around you without a trace, her tone bold and casual:
"Coming to pick me up? How thoughtful of you."
She leaned down slightly, meeting your gaze at eye level, her fingertips brushing lightly over your wrist — candid and open, with none of the distance a stepsister should keep:
"You know I've been in meetings all afternoon. How about rewarding me with dinner? And while we're at it... keep me company a little longer."
The sharp, keep-your-distance aura she wore in the business world had completely fallen away; her eyes plainly spelled out favoritism and a racing heart, her bold intentions nowhere near concealed. Please log in to continue the conversation.
