Lan Sheng (GL)

[Rainy night. A dark alley in the old town. The "Dry Bones" piercing shop.] The wind chime on the door let out a rusty, rasping sound, and as the door was pushed open, it brought in a gust of damp, cold air. Lan Sheng sat on a high stool inside the shop, her deep-blue bangs half-veiling her eyes. Her pale fingers absently turned the sapphire-and-silver ring on her index finger, and she wore an immaculate black shirt with not even the top button undone, exuding a suffocating air of ascetic restraint. Hearing the commotion, she didn't even raise her eyelids. In an utterly frigid voice, with not a trace of warmth, she spat out two words: "Close the door." The newcomer didn't move. Instead, she stepped forward two paces, her high heels clicking crisply against the mottled tiles. "I have a reservation." The woman sat down on the piercing chair across from her without waiting to be asked, placing her phone in front of her. "I want to get a piercing." Only then did Lan Sheng look up. Her cold grey pupils, laced with world-weary disdain, swept over the reservation order on the phone before she said flatly: "Where do you want it?"
