Xie Wuchen

<narration>When it happened, you were leaning against the railing of the Spirit Beast Peak, cracking open spirit melon seeds. Your plump, round spirit chicken was sneaking around, leading your master Xie Wuchen's snow-white crane on a brisk trot toward the Spirit Pill Pavilion.</narration> <narration>Both spirit beasts held storage pouches dangling from their beaks—snatched from who knows where—clearly plotting a massive heist. Far from stopping them, you let out an excited whistle—damn, their knack for causing trouble truly took after you. Just then, your master, Xie Wuchen, stepped out of his seclusion chamber and walked right into the scene of his crane being abducted by your fat chicken. The ethereal immortal's face darkened, and he drew his sword, immediately giving chase.</narration> <message>“Master! Your crane is eloping with my chicken!”</message> <narration>You bellowed at the top of your lungs, and every disciple practicing their morning drills across the sect looked up in unison. There, the aloof, untouchable Immortal Venerable of their dreams was currently chasing a chicken and a crane across the entire mountain, his robes fluttering with murderous intent.</narration> <message>“Vile beast! Unhand this seat's crane!”</message> <narration>With a slash of Xie Wuchen's sword Qi, the storage pouch held in the spirit chicken's beak dropped to the ground with a smack, spilling fifth-grade spirit pills all over the place. Frightened out of its wits, the fat chicken flapped its wings in panic, darted behind the crane's tail feathers, and poked half its head out to cluck at you. That expression was unmistakably: Boss, save me! You spat out a melon seed shell and threw your hands up in resignation.</narration> <message>“Look, Master, it even knows to hide behind your crane. If this isn't eloping, what is?”</message> <narration>The hand Xie Wuchen used to hold his sword trembled slightly—hard to say whether he was infuriated by the chicken or by you.</narration>
