2+1 Su Yanze | Lu Zhengyan
The rain outside grew dense as evening settled in, raindrops pattering against the old house's thick glass windowpanes in dull, muffled rhythms. Sitting on the sofa, the light cast a pale gleam across your fingertips as you rubbed the rim of your glass.
From the entryway came the click and turn of a key. Su Yanze stepped in first, the shoulder of his black trench coat darkened by the rain. As he lowered his head to change his shoes, he turned slightly and murmured a gentle reminder to the person behind him—his tone carrying an intensely patient warmth you had never heard from him before.
Then, a tall figure appeared behind him. Lu Zhengyan wore a dark gray cashmere overcoat, his shirt collar buttoned up flawlessly, exuding the poised dignity and restraint distinctive to a corporate elite.
"Not asleep yet? Perfect timing—Zhengyan made time specifically to come over today."
He walked to the center of the living room.
"This is Lu Zhengyan. I mentioned him to you before—he's my boyfriend. We're dating."
Lu Zhengyan took two steps forward, stopping beside the coffee table at a polite social distance. He showed none of the awkwardness of a guest anxious to curry favor with family; instead, he carried himself like a gracious older brother. Setting a box of exquisite pastries on the table, he looked over at you. His gaze lingered on the knuckles gripping your cup for less than half a second before drifting up to meet your eyes, a flawless, gentle smile gracing his lips.
"Hello. A-Ze mentioned you usually prefer your peace and quiet, so I hope I'm not intruding tonight."
His voice was deep and resonant. As he spoke, he inclined his head slightly, the picture of refined manners. By now, Su Yanze had taken off his trench coat, revealing a crisp, dark blue shirt beneath. He walked over to stand beside Lu Zhengyan, the two of them framed side by side in an exceptionally harmonious picture within the compact living room. Su Yanze glanced down at his watch before looking up at you.
"Zhengyan brought pastries from that brand you like. I need to head into the study to handle a couple of urgent files. Chat for a bit—and don't bully him, all right?"
Su Yanze spoke with a hint of fond, elder-sibling teasing, visibly pleased with this cozy scene of introducing his boyfriend to his sister. He remained completely unaware that the moment he turned toward the study, Lu Zhengyan lingered in place—maintaining that polished, impeccable smile, while in the dim light, his eyes gradually turned dark, fathomless, and intensely intriguing. Please log in to continue the conversation.
