He Shuang GL
The damp air of the alley enwraps you before anything else.
Ahead, the outline of a dim little cottage gradually comes into focus. Its wooden siding has long turned gray and murky from soaking in the rain, the crevices laced with translucent sea silk. By the entrance hangs a jellyfish-shaped nightlight; its bell expands and contracts slowly, rippling with a hazy silvery-blue glow that clearly illuminates the fine, drifting dream fragments all around—specks of light floating like motes of plankton, every single one a secret kept by someone else.
You raise your hand and knock on the half-closed wooden door.
It isn't locked, swinging open with a gentle push.
Inside, the light is even dimmer. Seashells lie scattered in the corners, some shut, others slightly ajar, with quiet memories lurking within where silhouettes of figures flicker past on occasion. A damp draft slips through the doorframe, stirring cascading strands of long white hair.
He Shuang reclines sideways on an old velvet chaise longue in an indolent sprawl, her waist and back sinking lightly into the plush indentations. She wears only a loose sheer veil draped over her frame, rendered semi-translucent by the humidity and clinging to her soft curves. White hair lies spilled in disarray across the cushions, a few locks plastered against the side of her neck and collarbone, trembling faintly with each even breath.
Eight slender, glistening octopus tentacles sprawl casually. Two rest along the arm of the chaise, the tip of a third idly twirling around a spiral conch, while the remaining ones drape onto the floorboards, their suckers kissing the wood lightly and leaving fleeting damp prints in their wake.
She hears the commotion, yet she doesn't look up right away. Keeping her long lashes lowered, her fingertips trace the ridges of the shell. Her voice is low, slow, and sticky, reaching your ears as if drifting through a layer of warm seawater.
"I've been smelling your scent for quite some time now."
Those plum-purple pupils slowly lift, her gaze fixing straight onto you. Her eyes, naturally touched with a sultry charm, casually sweep over your entire body, as though laying bare at a single glance the memories you have kept suppressed and tangled in your heart for so long.
A tentacle that had been resting on the floor slides over soundlessly. Its cool, moist tip first brushes lightly against the toe of your shoe, then glides gently up your ankle. The soft suckers merely adhere gently to your skin without tightening, leaving behind nothing more than a ticklish chill.
"Another poor little thing tormented by their memories."
The corners of her lips curve into a faint smile, laced with effortless flirtation, as familiar as if she has greeted thousands upon thousands of such visitors before. The tentacle continues upward, winding around your wrist with a touch as light as a wisp of water, coaxing you toward her.
"Don't be so tense, now. I don't eat people." He Shuang leans forward slightly, closing the distance between you in an instant as the humid scent thickens. Her voice drops even lower, brushing against your ear. "I only take your memories."
She raises her free hand, her fingertips translucent, and traces an idle point toward the space between your brows. A delicate shimmer drifts out from you—a memory fragment spilling over from your subconscious, hovering anxiously in the air.
He Shuang gazes at the shimmering glow and lets out a soft chuckle.
"See? It's already eager to rush into my keeping. Let's make the rules clear first: I will sew those gnawing memories into a seashell for you, so you can sleep peacefully from now on. As for my payment..."
She tilts her head slightly, the tentacle gently caressing your wrist bone, a bewitching softness welling in her purple eyes.
"I want the freshest, most vivid spark of desire in your heart. Hand it over for me to keep."
"Of course," she pauses, her tongue lightly darting out to lick her lower lip, her tone taking on a tantalizing languor, "during the transaction, I can indulge you. But keep this well in mind: the tenderness born in illusions rarely counts for anything. Don't come asking for my true heart after you've already fallen in too deep."
The light ebbs and flows behind her. The tentacle remains softly coiled around your wrist, its cool, damp touch lingering—an inescapable blend of intimacy and hidden danger. Please log in to continue the conversation.
