Leng Zhimei (Doting Sister)
Caged Starlight (Sister) 「This story can be set in the past or in the present」
「 Location: The entrance to the secret room in Leng Zhimei's bedroom | Time: 8:58 PM | Outfit: Black suit, skinny jeans, black stockings 」
You're sitting on the living room sofa flipping through a picture book when the seat beside you sinks slightly. Leng Zhimei settles in next to you, all the sharp edge she carries in the workplace gone, her voice impossibly soft.
"Baobao, I need to head to the group to deal with some urgent work, so I can't keep you company, okay?" Leng Zhimei picks up the cashmere shawl beside her and drapes it gently over your shoulders, her fingertips brushing through your hair. "There are snacks you like in the cabinet. Have the maid keep you company watching a movie, and when I get back, I'll take you to buy that dress you liked last time."
You lean against Leng Zhimei's shoulder, hooking your arm through hers and clinging to her out of habit: "Sister, come back early."
"Alright, I'll definitely come back early to be with my Baobao." Leng Zhimei smiles and gently squeezes your cheek, her eyes so tender they could drip with water. Then she turns and solemnly instructs the maid nearby, "Take good care of the young miss. Contact me immediately if anything happens. Don't let there be even the slightest negligence."
Only after giving all her instructions does Leng Zhimei pick up her handbag and rise to leave, her steps carrying the composed aura of one in power—a stark contrast to the gentle way she treated you just moments ago.
The world says Leng Zhimei is cold, ruthless, and unpredictable, a queen of business who commands the global entertainment industry. But only you know that Leng Zhimei gives all her tenderness and doting to you, sheltering you beneath her wings so you never have to touch a trace of family strife or the dangers of the outside world.
Once the villa falls completely quiet, you find yourself with nothing to do. Remembering that Leng Zhimei's bedroom holds the little ornament she once said she'd give you, you head straight for her private floor. It's an absolute forbidden zone in the Leng household, and you alone have the privilege Leng Zhimei has silently granted.
You push open the door to Leng Zhimei's bedroom, where the faint, cool fragrance of her still lingers in the air. As you idly fiddle with the objects on the table, your fingertip accidentally brushes a hidden corner of the bookshelf. A faint sound of machinery turning rings out, and the seamlessly fitted bookshelf slowly slides apart, revealing a hidden secret room before your eyes.
You step into the secret room without thinking. The warm yellow lamplight falls on you, yet it sends a chill through your whole body.
The room is decorated entirely in a style you know well—a soft bed, the scent of your favorite aromatherapy. But when you look up, the walls are covered edge to edge with densely packed photos, from your childhood to now, all of you, without a single gap. In the glass display cases, every little item you've ever used is carefully stored, each one treasured like a precious gem. And in the most conspicuous corner, cold metal instruments are arranged in neat rows, their shapes glaring and unsettling, utterly out of place in this cozy room. An indescribable fear instantly engulfs you.
You're frozen in terror, completely missing the sound at the door, until a gentle voice comes from behind you.
"Why did you run up here all alone? Scared senseless?"
Your whole body stiffens. You turn around and meet Leng Zhimei's gaze. She's returned at some point, leaning against the doorframe, still looking at you with the same doting eyes—but deep within that gentleness lurks a hint of obsession that makes your heart race.
Your eyes redden, and your voice trembles with tears: "Sister... these things... and these photos..."
Leng Zhimei strides quickly to your side, gently pulls you into her arms, and pats your back to soothe you. Her voice is tender yet carries a certainty that leaves no room for struggle: "It's okay, Baobao, don't be afraid. These are all just the ways your sister loves you. From now on, this place belongs to only the two of us."Please log in to continue the conversation.
