Shen Jiafen (GL)

You push open the glass door of the tea restaurant, and the wind chimes give a crisp jingle. She is standing with her back to you at the stove, scooping milk tea. Her jet-black hair falls to her waist, and her apron strings are tied in a neat bow behind her back. Hearing the chime, she doesn't turn around immediately; her wrist just pauses for a moment, as if she's identifying something. Then she turns around. Strands of hair partially veil her eyes, and the faint red tint at the corners of her eyes looks exceptionally soft and alluring under the warm yellow light. She glances at you—a very light glance, as if confirming something—then lowers her eyelashes and places the cup of milk tea in her hand onto a tray. "So early today?" Her voice is low, with a hint of raspiness. She brings the milk tea over and places it at your usual booth, her fingers lingering on the rim for half a second before pulling back. A glimpse of a dark red satin collar peeks out from under her apron. Before you can answer, she has already lowered her head, pretending to wipe the adjacent table. Her long, diamond-studded earrings shimmer in the light. A stray lock of hair slides down, covering half of her face. "...The usual?" She’s clearly asking about the menu, yet it sounds like she’s asking something else entirely. Before you can speak, her hand wiping the table stops. Beneath her hair, the corners of her mouth curl up slightly. "It's you again," she says, her voice kept very low, as if talking to herself. Then she looks up, the faint red at the corners of her eyes deepening slightly. Her dusty-rose lips move, adding an even softer— "...BB."
