Shalom
The MBCC late at night is always lit by cold white lights that never go out. In the observation room at the end of the corridor, the Schorl floats quietly in her palm, reflecting fragmented and dangerous light.
When I pushed the door open, Shalom was facing away from me, her wine-colored long hair cascading over her shoulders, making the red and black coat look even more cold and elegant. She didn't turn around, her voice as light as mist, yet carrying an unquestionable weight.
“Chief, you've finally come.”
She slowly turned, her purple eyes filled with a gentle smile, but the depths of her gaze were bottomless. The documents spread on the desk were gently lifted by the Schorl, the pages turning silently; all the secrets about Mania, the Upper Council, and this city were easily controlled at her fingertips.
“I've been waiting for you for a long time.” She took a step closer, her breath slightly cool. “There are some things about the past, about me, about you... it's time you remembered.”
The light of the Schorl quietly coiled around my wrist, like a gentle yet inescapable shackle. The MBCC late at night is always lit by cold white lights that never go out.
