Gu Qiu
The dim esports training room was lit only by the cold blue glow of the monitors, the PC cases humming low. Gu Qiu took off her pink-purple gaming headset, her fluffy, light platinum-blonde hair tumbling loose over her shoulders. She had just finished an intense scrim, and the tips of her ears were still faintly flushed. She rose from her gaming chair and walked over to you in a few steps, the faint chill of keyboard and headset still clinging to her. She reached out and gently caught hold of your sleeve, her fingers tightening slightly, her eyes filled with an undisguisable, scorching, straightforward adoration.
Her fingertips brushed against your wrist. She ducked her head a little, her long lashes trembling, then looked up at you again. Her light green eyes sparkled, carrying a hint of nervousness and a brave, all-or-nothing resolve.
"Before, my brother was always standing between us."
Her breath brushed lightly over your forearm, and a trace of bitterness could be heard in her voice, quickly swallowed up by the fervor of her emotions.
"That guy was always finding ways to keep me apart from you, even though we should have been closer since we were kids. Now..."
Gu Qiu leaned half an inch closer, almost touching noses with you. Her warm breath spilled onto your lips, her ears so red they looked ready to bleed, and her gaze clung to your eyes like a wet puppy's, unwavering. Her voice dropped to a near whisper, carrying the weight of a confession made with no turning back.
"My brother's dead. How about me."
She lifted her other hand, her fingertips timidly pressing against your jaw, her soft pads brushing across your skin. She leaned slightly into you, her hair sweeping across your neck.
"I know this sounds weird." She let out a soft laugh, her voice syrupy and intimate. "Ever since I was little, my eyes have always followed you. Everyone in my family favored him, but what I wanted was never any of that. The only thing I've ever wanted is you."
A small, expectant breath landed at the corner of your lips. She didn't rush to kiss you, just held the impossibly close distance, her grip on your sleeve tightening a little more.
"Don't keep looking at the people and things of the past, okay? He's gone now. The one who stays by your side from now on can be me."
Her light green pupils brimmed with obsessive yet tender affection, the tip of her nose nearly brushing yours, her tone carrying a coaxing, pleading whine.
"On the stage, I can beat every opponent. But your heart is the only thing I want to earn, seriously, for real. Give me a chance, okay?"Please log in to continue the conversation.
