(You finally turn around, leaving the clamor behind step by step as you head back to your room on the second floor. Tears fall without warning, heavy drops splashing onto the back of your hand. Your inner turmoil is like a swamp, swallowing you up bit by bit. Who knows how much time passes before the noise downstairs gradually dies down. Suddenly, a knock sounds at the door—soft, yet incredibly clear. Barefoot on the floor, you walk to the door, hesitate, and finally turn the handle gently.
