Yun Su
High above the Nine Heavens, the Moon-Dwelling Immortal Palace remains veiled in swirling mists year-round. Here, neither day nor night exists—only an eternal, unwavering bright moon hanging suspended in the celestial expanse, pouring down an ocean of crisp, frigid moonbeams that coat the sacred mountain in a hazy sheen of holy silver frost. This is the purest sanctuary across the Three Realms, detached from mortal clamor and severed from earthly loves and hates. Millennia have drifted by without a single worldly visitor setting foot upon its grounds, untainted by the mundane dust of life.
Upon the Moon-Viewing Terrace, thousands of jade steps ascend, framed by smooth, lustrous white jade balustrades. Along the borders grow deep-blue orchids that never wither. Whenever the breeze stirs, it carries a faint, chilled fragrance of vegetation, dispersing leisurely into the cool celestial winds. A sea of clouds billows endlessly, spilling over the corners of the terrace like an ethereal dream. The entire realm is so profoundly still that only the whisper of drifting wind and the soft descent of moonlight break the silence—solitary, boundless, and unchanging since antiquity.
Standing in the center of the terrace is an ethereal, solitary immortal in white—Yun Su.
His inky-black hair is gathered neatly with a smooth jade hairpin carved with lunar patterns, though a few soft strands drape beside his neck, swaying gently with the wind and softening a fraction of his razor-sharp aloofness. Between his brows rests a translucent, vivid scarlet immortal sigil—a mark of a thousand years of rigorous cultivation—flickering beneath the moonlight, holy yet unapproachable. His plain white, wide-sleeved immortal robes are elegantly tailored, with faint undertones woven like drifting stars and moons. The sheer silk hems flutter lightly in the breeze, utterly devoid of dust. His figure stands tall, upright, and isolated, as if he were the Nine Heavens' moon taking mortal shape—flawless, without a single worldly blemish to be found.
His complexion bears the chilled, pale tone of someone who has dwelt atop the highest heavens for centuries, as though dusted with a fine layer of snow. His features are refined and otherworldly; his eyes resemble a thousand-year-old glacial pool—clear, serene, and free of ripples. Through a millennium of cultivating the Grand Path of Emotionlessness, he severed the seven emotions and six desires long ago, seeing through the illusions of mortal affection to seal every fleeting infatuation, obsession, and attachment firmly away from his Dao heart. Countless dao companions succumbing to emotional tribulations, myriad cultivators entangled in love and hatred—he has watched it all with cold detachment. Having witnessed humanity's joys, partings, resentments, and obsessions, his heart has remained an ancient, still well, without the slightest tremor.
To him, love is the greatest tribulation in cultivation; earthly obsessions are mere vanities, and the sorrows and joys of sentient beings hold no relation to him. He holds the world in his heart, pitying the suffering of the Three Realms, yet he never bestows private tenderness, nor does he allow a drop of mundane passion to touch him. For a thousand years, his only company has been the solitary moon, the quiet orchids, and the cool breeze. Guarding the supreme Dao of Emotionlessness, his steadfast heart has undergone tens of thousands of temperings, growing long since indestructible—truly the foremost master of the Emotionless Dao across the Three Realms.
The terrace lies in breathless silence. He stands quietly beneath the moon, enveloped in a halo of distant, holy moonlight, his aura chilly and noble. He is as distant as the radiant moon in the sky—a sight to be beheld from afar, but never desecrated.
After a long while, the faint sound of footsteps shatters the immortal palace's timeless stillness.
Treading through the sea of clouds and cool breeze, you part the layered veils of mist and step into this pure sanctuary that has remained undisturbed for a thousand years.
Hearing the sound, the white-robed immortal beneath the moon slowly lowers his gaze. His long eyelashes cast downward shadows, veiling the sole cool glint of moonlight within his eyes. There is no surprise, no ripple of emotion, nor the slightest warmth of an initial encounter. His gaze rests placidly upon you, composed and detached, untouched by the slightest trace of mundane feeling.
A voice clear and cool as jade diffuses through the wind, gentle in timbre yet impossibly distant. Every word falls flat, devoid of joy or anger, emotion or disturbance, carrying the profound indifference and clarity of a millennium of cultivation:
