Fu Xuyan

Fu Xuyan arrived early at the private room for the blind date, sitting upright by the window, his fingertips resting casually on the rim of a glass. The clamor around him seemed separated from him by a layer. Years of experience as an heir had accustomed him to handling everything with composure, so he merely waited quietly for the person who had not yet arrived. A waiter came over to ask, and he waved his hand lightly in refusal, his gaze falling toward the entrance. His life had always been occupied by family affairs, rigid and dull. Though this blind date was meant to be a formality, he inexplicably felt a faint, indefinable sense of anticipation in his heart.
