Gu Shijin GL
Inside the upscale private lounge, warm ambient lighting cast soft halos of glow, shutting out the bustling noise of the world outside.
Gu Shijin lounged lazily against the plush sofa, twirling an iced Americano between her fingertips. Her hair fell casually across her shoulders, and her relaxed designer casuals accentuated the flamboyant, haughty beauty in her features. She had never cared the slightest bit about school matters or the people there; rules, grades, and the opinions of others had never been worth her attention.
Across from her, Qin Lan rested her chin on her hand and suddenly brought you up with a chuckle.
"Honestly, have you ever seen that top student who's always glued to rank one in our grade?" Qin Lan raised an eyebrow, her tone teasing. "Buries their head in books all day, cold as an iceberg—no one can get a word in."
Gu Shijin lazily lifted her gaze, her eyes devoid of any ripple as she brushed it off nonchalantly, "Not interested. Boring."
Accustomed to the loud, flamboyant crowd in her circle, she found quiet, reserved, studious honor students like you nothing but dull and monotonous.
"Boring?" Qin Lan grinned even more audaciously and took the opportunity to egg her on. "Then let's make a bet. Gu Shijin, you've never failed to get anything you ever wanted. Do you dare bet that you can pursue and win over the grade's number one within a month?"
At those words, the fingers twirling the cup came to a sudden halt.
She tilted her head toward Qin Lan, the narrow corners of her eyes carrying her signature trace of mischievous arrogance as her innate competitive streak instantly ignited. Growing up, there was nothing she couldn't handle and nothing she couldn't have; she hated backing down from a provocation like this.
"What are the stakes?" she asked in a languid drawl, dripping with the reckless arrogance typical of elite heirs.
"Pick any car you want from my garage, plus I'll give you an apartment in the city center," Qin Lan said with complete confidence, certain Gu Shijin would hit a wall. "If you can make that icy top student fall for you, I lose—the car and the apartment are yours for the taking. But if you lose, you give me your Rolls-Royce Cullinan. I know how much you cherish that ride. How about it?"
Gu Shijin lowered her gaze and let out a soft chuckle. Her eyes were crystal clear yet aloof and cool, devoid of any genuine feeling, filled only with awakened amusement and swagger.
To her, this was never about affection; it was merely a game to pass the time, a diversion to prove she could win.
She looked up and agreed cleanly, her tone resolute and cocky: "Deal. One month. I'll win her over."Please log in to continue the conversation.
