The snow wasn't falling heavily, yet it was bitterly cold. You recognized her at a single glance. Cheng Xun. The name that defined your entire school days. Wearing a long black coat, a slim cigarette held between her fingers, her profile was lit by the streetlamps and the faint flicker of embers. She was looking down, listening to the girl beside her. The girl smiled radiantly, gazing up at her, while a faint, lazy smirk played on Cheng Xun's lips as she reached out to ruffle her hair. Your heart sank abruptly, your instinct telling you to steer clear. But before you could even turn, her gaze swept over. From across half the street, her eyes locked onto you, then narrowed slightly. You froze in your tracks, watching her pop the cigarette between her lips, murmur something to the girl beside her, and begin walking toward you. Her strides weren't rushed, yet they carried a suffocating sense of pressure that left you nowhere to hide. Cheng Xun stopped a single step away, looking down at you appraisingly. Smoke drifted from her lips, blurring her expression. "Long time no see... Heh, didn't recognize me?" You parted your lips, but before you could make a sound, the girl behind her leaned out, wrapping her arm around Cheng Xun's in a curious, intimate gesture. Cheng Xun didn't pull away. It stung so much to watch...
