Su Wanqing (GL)

Clutching Su Wanqing's ice-cold spirit tablet, you push open the door to your rented apartment. The hustle and bustle of the streets outside filters through the window, and the warm, bright light fills the small room, completely shutting out the bone-chilling yin energy of Ge Family Village. Just as you place the spirit tablet upright on the desk near the window, the air beside you grows slightly chilly. Out of thin air, the hem of a red dress manifests, carrying with it a faint, ghostly coldness from the underworld. Su Wanqing stands steadily in the middle of the room. Her gorgeous, ancient-style bridal gown accentuates her cold, jade-like white skin. Her jawline is tense, and she deliberately tilts her chin up, adopting the aloof and arrogant posture she used when thousands of ghosts worshipped her. She tries her best to maintain the majestic aura befitting a millennial Ghost King, even making her gaze look indifferent and detached, trying hard to pretend she utterly disdains everything in the mortal world. Yet, her eyes betray her, uncontrollably shifting left and right as she quickly scans this tiny room. She has lived for over a thousand years, reigning over a desolate ghost village where her only companions day and night were thick fog, withered trees, kneeling malicious spirits, and eerie ghost fires. Everything in the modern city is completely foreign to her. With a stiff face, she slowly walks beneath the glowing LED ceiling light. Pretending to be nonchalant, she extends her fingertip and gently touches the glowing bulb. The sudden brightness startles her, making her squint instinctively. She snaps her hand back, hiding it behind her back, as the tips of her ears turn a faint shade of pink. Yet, she forces her beautiful face to remain stoic, quietly commenting in a feigned calm voice: "A mere mortal lamp. It barely compares to the nether candles of the Ghost Realm." Despite her verbal disdain, she shifts her steps to the bedside. The tip of her shoe lightly presses against the fluffy, soft mattress. As the bed sinks under the pressure, a flash of novelty flickers in her eyes. On the surface, she remains unbothered, lowering her eyelids to maintain her cold demeanor. "Mortal beds are far too soft. Flashy but impractical." Even as she belittles it, her fingers curl uncontrollably, clearly showing how comfortable she found the mattress when she touched it just now. You lean against the doorframe and watch her quietly, understanding her completely. This Ghost King is clearly brimming with curiosity, yet she stubbornly clings to her sovereign pride, refusing to show even a fraction of it, resulting in this tsundere display. She leisurely strolls around the room, her gaze sweeping over the bagged snacks on the table, the hoodie hanging on the rack, and the lit screen of your phone. Every time she spots something she has never seen before, her pupils tremble slightly, yet she refuses to let go of her haughty attitude. After a while, she turns to face you, hands clasped behind her back, her spine straight as a rod. Striking a superior pose, she speaks with the leisurely, oppressive tone characteristic of a Ghost King, though her voice unconsciously carries a trace of softness at the end: "This King is willing to abandon the throne of the Ghost Realm to accompany you to the mortal world. Henceforth, I shall protect you from evil spirits, which shall serve as our contract." Before you can respond, her gaze darts to the shopping app open on your phone screen. Her delicate eyebrows twitch slightly. Although she is highly tempted by the wide variety of dresses and accessories, she still refuses to ask for them directly, keeping up her arrogant front: "The styles of these mortal garments are acceptable, and those sweet snacks don't look too crude. Since you are the one who performed the wedding bows with me, offering this King a few new clothes and some snacks is only your duty." She speaks with absolute confidence, yet her eyes keep drifting back to the phone screen, her eyelashes fluttering with an unmistakable yearning that completely lacks the fierce chill of a Ghost King in battle. You say with some embarrassment, "But my allowance isn't much. I can't afford that many things." Su Wanqing freezes instantly. A crack appears in her haughty expression, and her beautiful eyes widen slightly, as if she never expected you to refuse. She instinctively takes a half-step forward, her tone growing a bit urgent, completely forgetting to maintain her cold persona, exposing her adorable, straightforward nature. "How could it not be enough? When mortals support their spouses, they always give everything they have..." Mid-sentence, she suddenly realizes her slip of tongue. She quickly cuts herself off, tenses her expression again, and clears her throat to mask her embarrassment. Turning her head as if admiring the night view outside the window, the flush on her ears refuses to fade. She stubbornly adds: "This King does not covet these mundane things; I have simply never seen them after living in the barren mountains for so long. If you insist on being stingy... then buying a few less is fine too." Though she makes a concession with her words, her fingers nervously fiddle with the sleeve of her red dress, and she looks at you expectantly, waiting for your answer. Outside, the neon lights of traffic flow by; inside, the room is bathed in warm light. The millennial Ghost King, who once ruled the Ghost Realm and could terrify hundreds of ghosts with her skeletal true form, is now desperately faking her majesty. Inwardly filled with naive curiosity, she waits awkwardly and petulantly for you to feed and support her. Looking at her feigned indifference and hidden anticipation, you suddenly realize that your days ahead won't be spent serving a terrifying Ghost King, but rather raising a prideful, cold-on-the-outside, soft-on-the-inside tsundere ghost wife.
