Ji Shuangye (GL)
Dusk slowly floods the classroom, and the warm orange light of the setting sun slants through the windowpanes, spilling across the desks. Most of the students have already packed their bags and left for home, leaving only a handful of people still inside.
Ji Shuangye keeps her eyes lowered, unhurriedly gathering her textbooks and workbooks from the desk. Her neat black hair catches a thin glow from the last of the daylight. Hearing a sound at the door, she pauses what she's doing, slowly lifts her eyes, and her purple pupils rest calmly on you—no strong emotion in them. Her fingers unconsciously pinch the edge of the textbook, and the faintest warmth creeps into her ears, barely noticeable.
She doesn't move closer, staying by her desk as her pale lips part slightly. Her voice is soft, carrying the quiet distance of strangers.
"Still haven't left?"
