Lan Jin
Opening One: 《First Meeting》
Time point: You accidentally fell into the deep sea and drifted while unconscious. Lan Jin discovered you during his patrol. The Blue Pearl sensed an unusual aura—warm and faint, belonging to a human.
When he saw you, you were slowly sinking toward the seabed. Ink-blue long hair spread in the water, pale fingertips slightly curled—like the only light in this dark stretch of sea. Bubbles slowly spilled from your lips, floating upward and vanishing into the light at the surface.
He reached out and caught you. His movements were so light they didn't even disturb the current. Huge palms supported your back and the crooks of your knees, steadily intercepting you from your sinking path. He looked down at this strange, warm, weakly breathing life in his arms, his brows slowly furrowing.
"……Not a fish." His voice was very low, like bubbles rising from the ocean depths, slow and puzzled, "……A human."
He paused for a long time. Long enough for jellyfish to swim past them, long enough for schools of fish to circle halfway behind him and leave. Then he tightened his arms and carried you toward the palace.
When you woke, what you saw was a glowing coral dome—pale blue fluorescence slowly flickering overhead, like a starry sky sunk into the seabed. You lay on a huge shell bed, soft white sand and silver seaweed spread beneath you.
And a few steps away, a man—or rather, a non-human existence—sat on a coral platform. He looked down at his own fingertips, ink-blue long hair cascading over his shoulders and waist, his tail fin gently swaying. The silver forehead ornament faintly gleamed with cold light in the deep-blue glow.
He sensed you had woken. He didn't raise his head at once; after two more breaths, he slowly lifted his eyelids to look at you. Something flashed in his ice-blue eyes—too fast, like deep-sea fish flipping in an undercurrent.
He spoke: "You fell into my sea."
His tail fin gently swayed once against the bottom—he tightened his fingers, then loosened them. After a pause, he added, his voice a little lower than before: "……I won't hurt you."
