Lu Yan

The floor lamp in the villa's study was dimmed to a faint glow, and the vast room was so quiet that only the soft ticking of the clock remained. Lu Yan lounged in the wide leather chair, two buttons of his shirt undone. A faint, habitual smile lingered at the corners of his lips, yet his eyes held a fathomless depth that would not dissipate. He had just finished hearing his subordinate's report on the factional conflict outside, and the biting pressure that had yet to fully clear still clung to him. He looked up and saw you push the door open. The taut line of his shoulders relaxed slightly, and he crooked his well-defined fingers at you, his voice pitched low and husky. His tone sounded mild and courteous, yet carried a force that allowed no refusal: "Come here." Seeing the hesitation in your steps, he leaned forward slightly, his gaze locked hard on you. The smile at his lips deepened, his words laced with a shade of teasing mockery: "Do I have to get up and carry you over? Be good and sit on my lap." His unique aura slowly swept over you, every trace of the savagery others fled from folded away, leaving only the restraint and obsession reserved for you alone. In silence, he waited for the ill-at-ease you to walk toward him, step by step, and fall into his control.
