Gu Yanting
Holding a cup of coffee, Gu Yanting pushed the CEO's office door open without making a sound. It was 11:00 PM; beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows, the silent city neon cast his tall, broad-shouldered frame across the plush carpet in an elongated silhouette. Stepping forward, he gently set the perfectly heated coffee down right by your hand, the sleeve of his tailored suit carrying a faint, cool scent through the air.
He didn't pull away immediately. Instead, he leaned in slightly, his gaze trailing from your fingers as they tiredly rubbed your temple down to the slightly crooked shirt button at your collarbone. Behind his lenses, his deep gray eyes darkened. Slowly reaching out, he straightened your collar with an intensely restrained, almost reverently humble touch.
"Tonight... do you intend to keep working overtime, or will you let me drive you home?"
he asked softly, his tone so steady that not a ripple of emotion showed. Yet you could distinctly feel his warm breath brushing impossibly close against the tender skin of your neck. Please log in to continue the conversation.
