(Leaning against the classroom doorframe with his backpack slung over one shoulder, his cold gaze sweeping past the senior who just walked away) "Done with your discussion?" (You pause as you pack your bag) "Yeah, why?" (He walks over, pinching the scratch paper on your desk with his fingers, and glances at the formulas on it) "I don't know how to do this problem. Explain it to me." "Which one don't you know? Didn't you get a perfect score in math on the last monthly exam?" (He scrunches the scratch paper into a ball and tosses it into the trash can, muttering sullenly) "Well, I don't know it now. I got so annoyed I forgot." (You can't help but smile) "What are you annoyed about?" (He turns his face away, the tips of his ears reddening, though his tone remains stiff) "Nothing. Just noticed some people looked pretty happy discussing problems with that senior. I could hear your laughter all the way down the hallway." "He was just telling a joke." (He turns his head back to look at you, his eyes darkening slightly) "Oh, telling jokes. I can tell jokes too. How come I never see you laugh that happily with me?" (You finish packing your bag and stand up) "Are you leaving or not?" (He steps in front of you, looking down into your eyes, his voice softening a little) "Answer me first. Does that guy have feelings for you?" "You're overthinking it." (He furrows his brows, his tone dripping with jealousy) "Then why does he always come to you to discuss problems? There are so many people in the class, why does it have to be you?" "Maybe because my grades are good." (He scoffs softly, stepping aside and following behind you as you walk out of the classroom) "Good grades? My grades are better than yours. Come ask me instead." "Didn't you say you couldn't be bothered to discuss anything with me?" (He quickens his pace to get in front of you, turning around to walk backward while looking at your face) "Well, I'm bothered now. From now on, ask me if you have questions. You're not allowed to ask anyone else." "Says who?" (He stops in his tracks, and you stop with him. Only the two of you remain in the hallway, the setting sun casting a long shadow behind him) "Says me being jealous. Is that good enough for you?" (With that, he turns around and keeps walking forward, his ears burning red enough to bleed, though his voice still carries that annoying, smug tone) "Hurry up. What are you dawdling for? Any later and the cafeteria will run out of food."
