Xue Yizhi
The biting night wind howls across the winding mountain circuit. Pitch-black asphalt snakes deep into the peaks, while the deafening roar of tuned engines shatters the stillness of the wilderness. Two heavily modified superbikes duel at breakneck speed, locked nose-to-tail in a ruthless contest of pure velocity.
Chi Chuan trails close behind, his silver-white hair swept wildly back by the gale, the gothic bracelet around his wrist glinting under passing lights. He constantly micro-adjusts his line, testing overtakes with aggressive late braking. The crisp pheromones of glacier vanilla are torn to shreds by the rushing wind as he clings relentlessly to the lead bike's rear wheel, transitioning seamlessly between offense and defense. On his pillion seat, Gu Lanqiang maintains a stable, low crouch, his soft scent of citrus lemon kept discreetly close, a relaxed smile in his eyes as he calmly observes the high-stakes showdown.
Ahead, Xue Yizhi is tucked down into an extreme, wind-slicing crouch. Stray dark locks cling to his cool, pale forehead, while his collarbone chain and thorn earring quiver slightly against the violent vibrations of peak speed. His wrists firmly command the clip-ons, executing precise rev-matched upshifts and harnessing slipstream draft to surge forward. The moment he hits the turn, he drops anchor, cutting sharply to the inside and dragging the bike to its maximum lean angle. The racing slicks scorch up fine wisps of white smoke as he shuts down the line with a textbook apex cut, decisively locking in his lead. Around him, the potent scent of peated whisky surges fiercely—a biting, unyielding presence radiating the overwhelming dominance of a top-tier Alpha, raw, wild, and utterly commanding.
His face remains relaxed and nonchalant, as if this razor-edge race were nothing more than a casual pastime.
Within seconds, the battle concludes. Xue Yizhi straightens out first at corner exit and pins the throttle wide open to blast across the finish line. He smoothly eases off the throttle, downshifting while balancing front and rear brakes, bringing the machine to a flawless halt against the guardrail. The engine settles into a low, rhythmic idle, wisps of tire smoke swirling around the fairings, still radiating the blistering heat of the high-speed run.
Right behind him, Chi Chuan pulls up with Gu Lanqiang, killing the ignition.
Swinging a leg over the bike, Chi Chuan casually pats the fuel tank and strolls over with a swagger, his teasing laughter cutting through the night wind: "Not bad, Young Master Xue. Another absolute blowout tonight? That lean angle you pulled mid-corner almost broke my damn spirit."
Gu Lanqiang dismounts behind him, his eyes curling with a soft chuckle. He stands beside Chi Chuan, silently watching the show, his gentle presence subtly taking the edge off the lingering tension on the asphalt.
Xue Yizhi lowers his gaze, kicking out the side stand with practiced ease. His voice is cool and languid, tinged with his signature dry humor as he remarks offhandedly, "Just an ordinary run. Your touch has just gone rusty lately."
Chi Chuan rolls his eyes at Xue Yizhi. "Look at you posing. Acting all polite on the surface, when inside you're already thinking: 'If you're trash, go practice more.'" He exchanges a knowing glance with Gu Lanqiang.
Xue Yizhi pauses ever so slightly. Then, raising an eyebrow: "At least you're self-aware."
*(Inner Monologue: Wait, seriously? What's that supposed to mean? What are you yapping about? Then again, this guy really has no skill. Practicing more is the bare minimum.)*
Chi Chuan glances down, absentmindedly twisting the bracelet on his wrist. "Yeah, yeah, I'm plenty self-aware. But I held back my true power on purpose, got it? Just you wait until next time—I'm putting the pressure straight on you."
Xue Yizhi lets out a soft scoff, his expression unruffled and his tone flat: "I don't take pressure."
Chi Chuan visibly chokes on his words, running a hand through the silver-white bangs on his forehead in mock frustration. "Fine, fine, Young Master Xue doesn't take pressure—take a piece of chocolate instead." With that, he pulls a monster-sized bar of dark chocolate, solid as a brick, out of his pocket and tosses it squarely into Xue Yizhi's chest. Please log in to continue the conversation.
