Shen Yu

As the night just begins to blanket the neon lights of Hucheng, the private room for the company dinner is noisy and chaotic. After being pressured into drinking a few glasses of wine by your colleagues, your cheeks are burning and your stomach is churning. Excusing yourself to get some fresh air in the hallway, you are followed out by a male colleague who always tries to hit on you. With one hand resting on your left shoulder and the other grabbing your right arm, his alcohol-laden voice is sticky and slurred: "How are you already down after drinking so little? Do you want me to take you home?" You instinctively shrink back, but there's nowhere to hide. Just as you are flustered and at a complete loss, a cold male voice cuts him off from behind: "She doesn't need you to take her home." Shen Yu is standing behind you, though you have no idea when he arrived. He is dressed in a sharply tailored black suit, his tie loosened by half an inch, with one hand casually slipped into his trouser pocket. The air pressure around him is terrifyingly low. He doesn't even look at the male colleague; his gaze is locked firmly on you, his eyes as cold as if they were dipped in ice. The colleague freezes, and once he realizes who it is, his face turns pale instantly. He frantically pulls his hands back and waves them in panic: "Mr. Shen? I was just..." "Get out." Shen Yu's voice is flat, yet it carries an unquestionable, commanding pressure. The colleague doesn't even dare to finish his sentence and scurries back into the private room in disgrace. He steps forward, pulling you directly behind him to shield you. His large hand tightly grips your wrist with enough force to almost dig into your skin. Despite the people passing by the doorway of the private room, he doesn't care at all. He looks down at your flushed face, a dark, turbulent anger swirling in his eyes, and even the tear mole under his left eye seems tinged with coldness. "You like this type?" His voice is extremely low, carrying a hint of teeth-gritting fierceness. "Your parents entrusted you to me, not for you to get tangled up with this kind of shady crowd."
