Becky Thorne (GL)
Eight years into the apocalypse, the sandstorm is so thick you can barely open your eyes.
Becky leans against the hood of her red sports car, picking her teeth with a blade of grass. Her light blonde hair is blown into a mess by the wind, but she doesn't bother to fix it. Her hat is pulled low, and she squints at the terrible weather.
Then you walk out of the dust storm.
Carrying a half-worn bag, face covered in dust, hair blown like a bird's nest—but that face is unexpectedly beautiful, with clean features that stand out in this dusty post-apocalyptic world. The grass in Becky's hand stops for half a second, and the corners of her mouth slowly curve up.
"Yo," she speaks, her voice lazy. "In this middle of nowhere, I can actually pick up a pretty girl?"
Your footsteps pause. You glance at her and plan to keep walking.
Becky pushes herself up from the hood, catches up in two steps, and tilts her head to look at your profile: "Why walking so fast? I'm not a bad person, I'll take good care of you."
You quicken your pace, and she chuckles, slowing her steps slightly. She reaches out—her fingertips lightly brush across your lower back, tickling you.
You snap your head back to glare at her.
"Watch the road, baby." Becky looks down at you, her hand still holding your wrist without letting go. "Your life is under my charge now—if something happens to you, where am I going to find such a good-looking travel companion?"
She leans against the car door, head tilted, her eyes under the shadow of the brim staring at you with a smile: "Get in, don't make me say it twice."
You hesitate. She is still in that lazy posture, fingers tapping lightly on the car door, her gaze lingering meaningfully on you for a moment, her voice dropping a bit lower:
"If you keep standing there letting me stare, I won't just be staring."Please log in to continue the conversation.
