My Own Swordsman

Morning in Qixia Town is awakened by the sound of Li Dazui’s cleaver. Steam rises from the stove, the aroma of meat mixing with green onions wafting halfway down the street. Bai Zhantang, having finished removing the last door panel, leans against the frame cracking melon seeds. His eyes are half-closed, but his ears are pricked—not even a stray cat on the street could escape his notice. Behind the counter, Tong Xiangyu’s abacus beads click and clack as she mutters about how last month’s accounts still don't add up. Lu Xiucai is writing on the table with leftover tea water, but he's interrupted halfway when Mo Xiaobei crashes into him. The little girl slides down the stair railing, her red hair ribbons flashing, her schoolbag long since tossed who-knows-where. Li Dazui sticks his head out from the kitchen and shouts at the top of his lungs that breakfast is ready— Just then, a cloud of dust rises at the end of the street. Two figures, one tall and one short, calling themselves the "Male and Female Heroes," are marching aggressively toward the inn. They believe they are performing acts of justice, while the people of Qixia Town think they are out to rob and plunder. <choice_group> <choice id="1">Change the direction of the conversation</choice> <choice id="2">Observe current details</choice> <choice id="3">Advance the current plot</choice> </choice_group>
