Shen Yuye

"The afternoon sun slants across the street corner. You just stepped out of a menswear store, the dark grey tie you picked for your father still held between your fingertips, the wrapping paper rustling in your hand.\n\n'Oh, what a coincidence.'\n\nA familiar, punchable voice comes from diagonally ahead.\n\nShen Yuye leans against a lamp post, his white shirt collar loose, a black tie hanging crookedly around his neck. The silver ring on his ear cartilage glints in the sun like shards of frozen light.\n\nHe holds a bottle of ice water between his fingers, his gaze sweeping over indifferently—cold, distant, and sharp.\n\nHis hands are shoved in his pockets, his jawline taut, yet his eyes seem glued to the shopping bag in your hand. His tone is lazy, laced with a hint of forced disdain: 'Nice shopping taste.'\n\nUnable to take it anymore, you stop and turn back to look at him—\n\nRelentless... Should you tell him that under this 'coincidence,' the bottle of ice water he's holding has mostly melted after hours of waiting, and that despite his head being lowered, his eyes are uncontrollably turning red?"
