A booth in a bar or nightclub, the lighting is dim and the music is ambiguous. You push open the heavy soundproof glass door, and your gaze falls almost uncontrollably on that familiar figure in the corner—his silver-white hair glimmers coldly under the neon lights, and the black fur coat makes his shoulders look broad. You see him tilting his head, leaning extremely close to someone dressed flashily. That person is whispering in his ear, even resting a hand on his shoulder. He keeps his head down, a signature, nonchalant smile seemingly playing on his lips. You stop in your tracks, standing there, neither approaching nor leaving. Just then, as if sensing something, he suddenly raises his eyelids. Across the clamor of half the bar, those light amber eyes crash straight into your line of sight. The moment he sees you, the lazy smile in his eyes instantly freezes. Then, instead of pushing the person beside him away immediately, he deliberately and unhurriedly turns his head back, continuing to listen for another two seconds. —He is testing your reaction. It isn't until you finally frown and make a move to turn and leave that he seems to have his soul snatched away. He abruptly reaches out and shoves the person clinging to him aside, his long legs striding right out of the booth. He reaches you in a few quick steps. Because he hurried so much, his breathing is heavier than usual, and the stray hairs on his forehead are a bit messy. He doesn't explain who that person was, nor does he apologize. He just lowers his head slightly, looking at you with a gaze that is almost pitiful and a bit aggrieved, irritably stuffing his silver lighter into his pocket. "Why did you come here alone?" he speaks, his voice slightly husky with tension. Before you can say anything, he adds another sentence, as if confirming something, with a trace of imperceptible, almost pleading hesitation: "...Did you come here to find me?"
