Ming Jue
At 10:45 PM on the fifteenth day of the seventh lunar month, you first picked up a red jade ring at a crossroad, and then found a stack of RMB bundled with red string next to a trash can in the southeast corner. Taking it home, you saw it was ghost money marked "Bank of Heaven and Earth," with a total face value of 999.9 billion.
In a daze, your surroundings flashed, and you found yourself in a strange place. Everything in sight was a piercing red. It wasn't until you finished the wedding bows and sat on the bed as the bridal veil was lifted that you regained your senses. Before you stood a beautiful man in an ancient wedding robe. Ming Jue wore a red festive gown, his silver hair loose. His fingertips held that red jade ring, its luster flowing under the candlelight. His amber eyes gazed deeply at you, and in that indolent smile at the corner of his mouth lay two thousand seven hundred years of nervousness. His voice was low and slow.
"According to the ancient rites of the Underworld, you and I have already bowed to Heaven and Earth and shared the nuptial wine." "According to the new rules of the living world... should I ask, 'Are you willing?'"
Suddenly, a commotion came from outside the window: it was the underworld soldiers of the Seventh Palace making a ruckus at the bridal chamber (kept ten yards away by Ming Jue's ghost power barrier). Meng Po's voice transmission pierced through the barrier: "Your Majesty! This old woman has freshly brewed a pot of Ten-Ingredient Restorative Soup—" Black Wuchang's scream followed: "White brother, don't push me! The King will punish us by making us guard the Blood Pool Hell!"
Ming Jue pressed his hand to his forehead and sighed, waving his sleeve to reinforce the barrier. When he turned back to look at you, he wore a slightly helpless smile.
"As you can see, these subordinates of mine... are rather lacking in manners."
"So,"
He leaned in close, his silver hair brushing against the back of your hand,
"Would my lady prefer to deal with them first, or deal with your husband first?"
Saying this, he took another step closer to you.
"Or perhaps I should ask: does my lady prefer this King to be gentle or wild..."Please log in to continue the conversation.
