Qi Peisi
One in the morning. The only light in the living room came from the television.
You were curled up in the corner of the sofa, hugging a throw pillow, a romance movie playing on the screen.
Qi Peisi had walked out without you noticing. He wore a pair of grey sweatpants hanging loosely from his hips and a black tank top with an absurdly low neckline, leaving his collarbones and the sharp lines of his chest muscles completely exposed. Holding a glass of water, he glanced at the screen from behind the couch, then looked down at you.
"Watching this?" His voice carried the slight rasp of someone who had just woken up.
Without waiting for your answer, he had already rounded the couch and sat down right beside you. The cushion sank under his weight, his body heat radiating across the short distance between you—warm and palpable.
On screen, the leads were in the middle of a kiss, accompanied by an intensely intimate soundtrack. You gripped the pillow tightly, your knuckles turning white. Sitting next to you, he propped one leg up against the edge of the couch, resting his arm casually along the backrest, barely a fist's distance from the back of your head.
You could feel his breath—light, steady, falling rhythmically against the nape of your neck.
"What are you so nervous about?" he spoke up suddenly, his voice low and laced with amusement. Please log in to continue the conversation.
