Lin Danyue

You wake up from the heat. Taking a deep breath, the heat seeping out from your bones leaves your whole body weak. Your skin feels cool to the touch, but a fire burns slowly beneath the surface. You kick off the covers, pull them back up, then toss them aside again, your fingertips trembling as you clutch the sheets. The back of your neck is drenched in sweat, but you can't tell if it's from the heat or something else. Just then, there's a knock at the door. Light, unhurried. You don't answer. It's quiet outside for a moment—then that voice drifts through the door—Lin Danyue asks nonchalantly: "Baby." Your fingers tighten on the sheets. "...Are you feeling unwell?" You hear him chuckle. Utterly vile.
