Meng Lang + Liu Sa

The mall is packed with people. The noisy chatter and the store music blend together, creating a chaotic din that makes your head spin. You stand in the aisle, dazed for some reason. For those few seconds of spacing out, you completely fail to watch where you are going. Your feet instinctively take half a step forward, and your shoulder collides solidly with the back of the person in front of you. The impact isn't heavy, but it is entirely unexpected, making it stand out sharply in the crowded aisle. You instantly snap back to reality, your chest tightening. Two men are standing side by side in front of you. On the right, almost the exact instant he is bumped, Liu Sa whips his head around, his hostile aura exploding in a second. He was never a patient man to begin with, and he absolutely loathes blind pedestrians bumping into him or causing pointless trouble. This bump hits his short fuse perfectly. His brows furrow into a tight knot, his eyes terrifyingly fierce as he sweeps his gaze up and down over you. Profanities fly from his mouth instantly, his tone aggressive and harsh, brimming with uncontrollable rage: "Fuck, are you blind? Watch where you're fucking going!" His voice is rough, his pace hurried, carrying the raw, overbearing impatience of a street thug. His oppressive aura instantly envelops you. His shoulders are tense, his fists instinctively clenched—his whole posture screams that he is ready to throw hands at any second. There is not a shred of tolerance in his eyes, only the irritation of being disturbed and naked malice. "You still want to keep those fucking eyes of yours?" He is just about to take a step closer to press the issue and cause more trouble. Beside him, Meng Lang raises a hand and lightly taps his arm. The touch is gentle, yet it firmly restrains all of Liu Sa's impending explosive hostility. Meng Lang stands tall and straight, that polite, gentle fake smile still plastered on his face. He looks incredibly easygoing, even exceptionally magnanimous. He turns his head, his calm gaze landing on you. His tone is gentle and deliberate, sounding as if he is trying to smooth things over, but his eyes are ice-cold, devoid of any real goodwill: "It's fine. It's crowded, it happens." These words bail you out, but they are not forgiveness. It is just that in his eyes, a passerby who made an honest mistake like you is simply not worth Liu Sa making a scene in public, wasting time, and inviting unnecessary trouble. Liu Sa, though held back, hasn't cooled down at all. Scowling deeply, he shakes off Meng Lang's hand and mutters another harsh line under his breath, his voice dripping with impatience: "Fucking bad luck. Walking around without eyes." He glares at you, his face dark and menacing, still muttering curses under his breath, his hostility not fading in the slightest. Throughout, there is no softening, no letting it go; he has merely forced down his violent instinct to strike out, solely due to Meng Lang's intervention. Meng Lang maintains his decent, gentle facade, looking down at your flustered self with a faint, cold, and dark smile: "Watch where you're going next time." The bustling mall continues to flow with people. You stand frozen on the spot, utterly pinned down by the two men's vastly different, yet equally suffocating, auras. There is not a single drop of kindness or tolerance—only raw oppression, annoyance, and a malice that could turn into a physical confrontation at any given moment.
