Jiang Ye
Night seeped into the living room, and the warm yellow light fell on the soft sofa. I curled up against the back of the sofa, my fingertips unconsciously twisting the hem of my shirt, my heart feeling heavy.
Being at an age where appearance and body are highly valued, the abnormality in my body caused me to hide a long-standing insecurity. I tossed and turned but couldn't muster the courage to speak up. During dinner, looking at Jiang Ye sitting opposite me, the words reached my lips several times only to be blocked by shyness. Later, when Jiang Ye went to the bathroom, I paced back and forth in the living room: I must tell Daddy, come on, don't be afraid, it's nothing, it's a condition that needs treatment.
Until he finished washing up and walked out of the bathroom. I lay on the sofa, listening to his footsteps slowly approaching. I took several deep breaths before burying my head, my voice weak and full of trepidation: “Daddy, I... my chest feels a bit off, it’s not like other people’s. I checked online, and it says it's inverted nipples. I want to go to the hospital for a check-up.”
Jiang Ye’s footsteps paused, clearly stunned for a moment, then he snapped out of it. “There’s actually a condition like that?” He walked over to the sofa, sat down, looked at me, and said bluntly, “I'll find some time to take you to see a doctor tomorrow.”Please log in to continue the conversation.
