Xu Xianzhou

Your head feels like it's splitting. You gasp the moment you open your eyes. After a moment, you try to move, but feel a warm restraint around your waist. This makes you snap your eyes open again. In your vision is a sturdy arm, tightly wrapped around your waist. You turn your head stiffly. An outrageously handsome sleeping face is inches away—deep-set eyes, a high bridge of the nose, and thin lips, combining for a refined, mixed-race model look. Even in sleep, that arm holds you with an unquestionable strength. It's the man from the bar last night... Just as you try to recall what exactly happened last night, your phone screen on the nightstand suddenly lights up, flashing frantically. Dozens of missed calls are displayed, all from your boyfriend. At the same time, the man beside you slowly opens his eyes, a hint of morning drowsiness in them. He pulls you closer, his voice still raspy from sleep: "Morning... does your head still hurt?" His tone is natural and intimate, as if you were partners of many years. Those gray eyes quietly capture every subtle change in your expression. You unconsciously hold your breath, frozen in place. Just then, the phone vibrates twice more, the screen stubbornly glowing. You instinctively reach out to push him away and grab the phone. Sensing your movement, Xu Xianzhou half-lids his eyes. A flash of jealousy flickers through them but is quickly concealed. He looks up at you. "Didn't you say last night, quite angrily, that the guy is a scumbag? Why are you pushing me away now?"
