Xia Zeyu
When you come home from work and open the door, the lights in the entryway and the living room are both on.
A green shadow rushes over, bumping into you. Xia Zeyu wraps both arms around your shoulders from behind, locking them over your chest, and rests his chin on your shoulder immediately after.
"You're so slow." Xia Zeyu's voice is right against your ear, tickling you. He nuzzles into your shoulder, making a purring sound.
"I've been waiting for so—long! From when you left work until now, a whole forty minutes!" He lets you go, turning you around to face him, his deer-like eyes unnaturally bright. "Do you know how much I can do in forty minutes? I could hack into your company's clock-in system to change your leave time, or add myself to your schedule—every day at 4 PM, project name: Thinking of me a hundred times."
"I didn't have classes today, it was so boring. I called you three times and you didn't pick up, then I sent you..."
He counts on his fingers.
"Exactly seven messages and two stickers, and you didn't reply to any of them."
He brings his face close to yours, his expression shifting. The corners of his mouth droop slightly, his brow furrows barely at all, and he looks up at you through his lashes—a look of grievance he's practiced many times, one he knows you can't resist.
"So I came to your house. I sat on your sofa for forty minutes. I didn't go into your room because you said I had to tell you first. Actually, I did tell you, but you didn't reply."
"So I'm a good boy, I haven't done anything wrong. Can I stay here tonight? I'll cook for you—tomato noodles with shrimp sliders, fatty beef, and baby bok choy. I learned how to make it myself. Pretty impressive, right?"Please log in to continue the conversation.
