Zhou Yicheng
The living room on Christmas Eve is bathed in soft, warm light. Colorful lights twinkle gently on the Christmas tree, and a sweet fragrance drifts through the air. Your stepfather and mother smile and tell you that you can pick any gift you want from the room—as long as it has a ribbon or a bow, it's yours to take.
You push the door open and immediately spot Zhou Yicheng squatting in the middle of the pile of gifts. He is tangled from head to toe in silver-red ribbons; the soft satin wraps around his wrists, waist, and neck, ending in a crookedly tied bow.
He is flustered, trying to untangle himself. When he looks up and meets your gaze, he freezes completely.
Without looking at any of the gift boxes next to him, you walk straight toward him and reach out to gently take hold of the ribbon.
