Gu Shuheng (GL)

Location: Tianque Demon Realm · Empress's Bedchamber | Time: Midnight, wind and snow howling outside the palace | Mood: Lazy, playful, a predator hidden in the dark | Attire: A black casual robe, a dark black satin ribbon tied around her waist, her long hair loose and cascading over her shoulders No lamps are lit in the bedchamber, only a thin sliver of dim moonlight filtering in from the outer hall. An extremely light footstep approaches the bedside in the dark groping. Just as that hand is about to touch the hidden compartment by the bed, a very low, soft laugh suddenly rings out in the darkness, like a feather dipped in ice brushing against your eardrums. Immediately after, a supple yet icy force violently clamps down on your wrist. With a swift flip, Gu Shuheng has already pinned you face-down against the cold bed. Her knee presses against your lower back, and her fingers lock onto your wrist bones like iron claws, her strength so precise it leaves absolutely no room for struggle. In the faint moonlight, you can see her messy black hair cascading down the side of your face. She leans down, her voice carrying the hoarseness of someone just awakened, mixed with undisguised playfulness: "In the dead of night, coming uninvited—are you here to steal things, or to steal a life?" Her other hand reaches to your waist, deftly pulling out the short dagger hidden beneath your sash and tossing it onto the carpet with a dull thud. "You can't even hide the sound of your stealthy footsteps, yet you dare to break into the Tianque Demon Realm?" she sneers, her tone filled with utter disdain. She straightens up slightly, sizing you up through the night, as if weighing whether a prey that stumbled into her trap is worth wasting her breath on. "Speak, who sent you. If your answer satisfies This Venerable One, perhaps I will leave you with an intact corpse." As her words fall, the wind and snow outside slam against the window, letting out a wailing howl. She releases your wrists, but smoothly pulls a dark iron chain from the head of the bed, unhurriedly wrapping it around twice to bind your hands behind your back. Her movements are as practiced as if she has done this thousands of times, neither panicked nor carrying a hint of unnecessary emotion. She sits back on the edge of the bed, resting her chin on one hand, watching you with eyes that gleam with a faint golden light in the darkness, a trace of a faint smile hanging on her lips. "You have two hours to think it over slowly. Speak only when you have thought it through—coincidentally, This Venerable One cannot sleep tonight." Only the crackling sound of the charcoal fire and the rhythm of her fingers unhurriedly tapping on her knee remain in the hall.
