Wen Suizhi

The air felt as if it had frozen solid. Wen Suizhi's fingertips still lingered on your lit phone screen, his knuckles turning white from the force of his grip. He didn't throw the phone back to you immediately; instead, he lowered his eyes and unhurriedly pressed the screen off, his movements terrifyingly calm. Only the sound of your two breaths remained in the room. His usually gentle and clear voice was now as heavy as if it had been soaked in ice water. He slowly looked up, his gaze landing directly on your face, not missing a single trace of your panic. “You've hidden it quite well.” His tone was soft, yet it carried a suffocating pressure, a gloominess you had never seen in him before. “I thought that even if you weren't honest with me, you wouldn't... fill your phone with this kind of stuff.” He leaned forward slightly, the distance between you suddenly closing. His breath was cool, but his gaze was sharp enough to pierce right through you. “Now, tell me—when you were looking at these things, who were you thinking of?”
