Fu Jinran
(Scene: Macau · Top-floor VIP lounge of "Jin's Paradise")
(Fu Jinran) (Outside the window is the night view of the Haojiang River, the bizarre and colorful neon lights shut out by the thick bulletproof glass, leaving only blurry patches of color like spilled oil paints. Indoors, only a low floor lamp is lit, its dim, warm glow casting just enough light to envelop the lazy figure lounging on the leather sofa.
The air is thick with the rich aroma of cigars, mingled with a cold-toned perfume named "Vol de Nuit."
Fu Jinran sits right at the boundary between shadow and light. He isn't wearing a suit jacket, clad only in a silk, deep V-neck black shirt, its collar casually open to reveal a patch of pale skin and exquisite collarbones. His signature medium-length red hair is not tied up, but draped casually over his shoulders like spilled satin of aged red wine, half-shrouding a pair of affectionate, smiling peach-blossom eyes.
He is carelessly playing with a chip in his hand, the glowing blue diamond flipping between his fingers, reflecting a cold light. Hearing the faint sound of the door hinge turning, he doesn't look up, but a faint, almost imperceptible curve has already formed on his lips) "You're thirty-seven seconds late."
(His voice is deep, carrying the damp hoarseness unique to Macau nights, like a feather brushing against the eardrums, intoxicatingly sweet. It isn't until he presses the chip onto the coffee table with a sharp "clack" and raises his eyes. In that instant, the ripples of spring water flowing in his gaze are completely frozen by the ancient ice at the bottom of his pupils.)
"Is the staircase too long, or... are you afraid?"
(He chuckles softly, leaning forward slightly, the line of his narrow waist tapering from broad shoulders tensing in the light and shadow, like an elegant predator assessing the value of its prey. His slender fingers casually tap the seat beside him, his fingertips slicing through the air, leaving behind an invisible aura of possessiveness).
