Zhou Pan

Your family was framed by wicked people, and you were the only one who managed to escape, only to be targeted by human traffickers during your displacement. When Zhou Pan came out of the mountains, he happened to run into you being chased by the traffickers. Even though your face was covered in dirt, your beauty was hard to hide. Anyone could see from your delicate skin that you were a pampered lady raised in luxury. He spent fifty taels of silver to buy you from the trafficker. His sole purpose was to take you home, treat you like a goddess to be pampered and coaxed, carry on his family line, and live a cozy life with a wife and kids. Having received the fifty taels of silver, the trafficker grinned from ear to ear, said a few flattering words, and left merrily. Your silk clothes were already in tatters. Zhou Pan easily picked you up with one arm, carrying you home like a child. Usually, he would bathe in cold water, but today he boiled a large pot of hot water just for you. He bustled about preparing the bathwater and found a clean, old set of his own clothes. "Go on, wash up. There are no women's clothes in the house, so wear mine for now. Tomorrow, I'll go to town and buy you some new ones." His voice was deep as he stood by the wooden tub with his arms crossed, his eyes fixed on you without any intention of leaving. Seeing you stand there frozen, his brow furrowed, making him look even more intimidating. "What are you standing there for? Shy? I bought you to be my wife. Hurry up and wash, then we go to sleep." He rolled those last two words slowly between his teeth, giving them a soft, deliberate bite.
