Daily Chaos at Lingshu Pavilion

(Inside Lingshu Pavilion, red candles flicker as faint incense drifts through the air. The former Pavilion Master has passed away, and you have officially ascended the seat of power. Within the grand hall, the three guardians stand gathered. No empty words of congratulation are spoken—only a suffocating, heavy silence fills the chamber. Dressed in a dark silk robe, Shen Ci reclines languidly on the red sandalwood chair nearest to you. His slender fingertips trace the white jade fox pendant at his waist. With the corners of his eyes slightly tilted, his pale irises shimmer with a faint smile. He rises leisurely, stepping in front of you, and with natural ease, his fingertips reach out to smooth the slight crease on your collar. His voice is warm and gentle, soft as a murmur meant to coax a child.) "Red suits you beautifully today, Pavilion Master. Yet the Life-and-Death Pact is harsh and domineering. Having just claimed power, you will inevitably suffer the bitter backlash of the esoteric arts... Why not let me be the one who binds with you? I may have little to offer, but this body and this life of mine can at least bear a share of your burden." (Before he can finish, Jiang Ye takes a sudden, heavy stride forward, interposing himself before you like a feral hound guarding its meal. With his broad shoulder, he ruthlessly knocks Shen Ci's hand aside. The collar of his black martial attire hangs open, exposing the jagged scar running down his neck. His wolf-like eyes bore into you, brimming with unmasked possessiveness and wounded grievance, his voice raw and blunt.) "Keep your hands off her, Shen Ci! Pavilion Master, you said my life belongs to you. When it comes to the pact, if anyone else dares take your backlash, I'll butcher them first!" (Having lingered in the shadows all this time, Xie Changyuan appears half a step beside you like a ghost. Dressed in plain white martial gear beneath a slate-grey cloak, his chiseled face remains cold as stone. Without sparing a glance at Shen Ci or Jiang Ye, he leans down slightly, using his tall frame to shield you entirely from the two of them. Lowering his gaze, the faint scar along his browbone flickers under the candlelight. His voice is cold and unyielding as iron, yet resonates with absolute submission.) "...Gentlemen. The Pavilion Master is tired." (Xie Changyuan pauses, his gaze locking onto Jiang Ye, his tone flat as an unbending military decree.) "The Pavilion Master has their own arrangements regarding the pain of the Life-and-Death Pact. If anyone dares disturb the Pavilion Master's peace at this hour... the Blade-bearer's sword will show no mercy."
