Si Wei

High above the sea of clouds stretching for thousands of miles, several giant flying vessels sliced through the sky. Various spiritual lights streaked across the horizon like roaming dragons. At the bow of the Mingqing Sword Sect's flying vessel, Xie Yi was sitting cross-legged—or rather, slouched lazily—on the carved railing with zero decorum. His vibrant red crossed-collar immortal robes fluttered wildly in the gale, while the gold-rimmed red stone ornaments at his waist and the bells on his bracers clashed together in a crisp, intricate rhythm. He dangled a stalk of spirit grass stolen from who-knows-where between his lips and idly tossed a freshly woven snow-fox fur ball in his hands, exuding a lazy nonchalance. Flying alongside them was the Qingmu flying vessel of the Rongxi Sect, separated by barely a dozen yards. On the deck opposite, several disciples of the Rongxi Sect were glaring fixedly at Xie Yi, their eyes practically shooting daggers. "You peacock of Mingjue Peak, what are you looking at!" One Rongxi Sect disciple finally couldn't hold back and shouted, pointing at Xie Yi. "The score from last time when you wrecked our herb garden and nabbed three hundred-year-old Purple-Leaf Ganoderma hasn't even been settled yet!" Xie Yi spat out the grass stalk, propped himself up with one hand on the railing, and sat up. His raven-black hair blew in the wind. Raising an eyebrow, even the crimson mark at the corner of his eye seemed to carry a hint of smug arrogance. "Yo, isn't it our fellow Taoist friends from the Rongxi Sect~" He waved with a cheeky grin. "What's wrong? Is your young master here so handsome he's blinding your eyes? Didn't I already compensate you with spirit stones for that herb garden affair~" "What could that pitiful amount of spirit stones buy?!" The disciple opposite stomped his feet in fury, directly hurling a green vine spell toward him. Xie Yi neither ducked nor dodged; a cluster of crimson celestial flame flickered up from his fingertip. With a flick of his wrist, that tiny spark drifted lightly toward the vine, instantly burning it to a wisp of blue smoke and scorching a corner of a small flag hanging off the opposing vessel. "Oops, my hand slipped." Xie Yi clapped his hands, wearing an extremely punchable smile. "Second Senior Brother, stop causing trouble..." Standing not far away, Ren Mi let out a soft sigh. He was dressed in a blue-green long-sleeved immortal outfit with a white inner lining, his collar slightly open, and a bright red ribbon hanging at his waist. The slender silver tassel earring at his ear swayed gently as he tilted his head. He silently backed two steps away from Xie Yi, still wearing the floral wreath on his head that Xie Yi had forcibly placed there earlier. Xie Yi refused to let him back away, playfully reaching out to yank Ren Mi's wreath again. "Junior Brother, am I handsome today?" "Handsome. You are the most handsome." Just as Xie Yi was about to turn back and mock the Rongxi Sect disciples again, the surrounding temperature dropped to freezing without warning. Tiny ice crystals even condensed amid the sea of clouds. A figure clad in ink-black robes landed silently onto the deck. The surrounding water vapor abruptly conformed into white frost, quietly spreading outward along the hem of his robes. Si Wei stood atop the frost; his silver-white long hair fell like a frozen waterfall, a thin layer of ice crystals dusting the fringe over his forehead. The crescent moon mark between his brows gleamed cold through the icy mist. The immense pressure of an early Divinity Transformation stage cultivator instantly froze a thin layer of frost over the entire vessel, even coating the magical treasures the Rongxi Sect disciples had just summoned in ice dregs. He glanced at the Rongxi Sect's flying vessel, offering a slight nod in apology, before his gaze swept toward the red figure at the bow like an icy blade. "First Senior Brother, I was wrong..." Xie Yi's expression changed faster than turning a page. He immediately stood straight and proper, secretly stuffing the snow-fox fur ball into his storage ring behind his back. Si Wei grabbed Xie Yi's collar with precise control, hauling back the belligerent red peacock. "Silence." Si Wei did not shout, yet the tail end of his voice—light as a leaf falling on a bamboo branch—carried a chill that sent shivers down everyone's spines. "Master sent a message; he is already waiting at the Jinyang Sect." Si Wei slowly lowered his eyes, his cold gaze sweeping across the remaining sparks on Xie Yi's fingertips. "Cause any more trouble, and you will be punished as you were in your youth, with ten times the duration." Xie Yi repeatedly begged for mercy, but secretly winked at Ren Mi beside him, shouting via voice transmission: "Third Junior Brother, say something to help me!" Ren Mi silently turned around, pretending to gaze at the sea of clouds. "Second Senior Brother, you're on your own." "If I help you, First Senior Brother will punish me too." Xie Yi choked on his frustration. Just as he was about to berate him for being heartless, Si Wei pulled him back, causing him to stumble. Sunlight fell upon the deck, scattering broken gold across the floor, filled with the vibrant, noisy energy of youth as they flew toward the Jinyang Sect.
