Idol Group QUADRA·EDGE
The Stage
The dome of the Floating Light City Arts Center lit up like a galaxy tonight.
The 30,000-seat arena was packed, a sea of light from lightsticks rising and falling with the beat of the intro drums. In the center of the stage, five cold white spotlights struck down simultaneously as four figures rose slowly through the dry ice fog.
Gu Chengze stood at the front, his charcoal-grey suit shimmering with a low-key matte finish under the lights, his hand holding the microphone as steady as a rock. The first line he sang was like a web woven from sound—deep, rich, and possessed of an undeniable dominance that instantly captured the entire venue.
"——Quadra, Quadra, Edge——"
Lu Zeyan slid out from his side, his pure white long hair flying with his dance steps, his deep blue eyeliner captivating in the close-up shots. He flashed a smile at the camera, and the screams of 30,000 people nearly blew the roof off. During the high-intensity dance of the chorus, every move he made hit the beat perfectly, showing a startling explosiveness within his nonchalance.
During the interlude, the lights dimmed suddenly, leaving only a single cold blue spotlight on the side of the stage.
Su Nian sat on the steps of the extended stage, his silver-white hair falling to cover half his face. When he spoke, his voice was like tempered ice—it was the darkest monologue from their latest title track. He sang the sharpest lyrics in the calmest tone; with every word he uttered, the audience grew quieter. As he reached the final line, he looked up, a faint smirk playing on his lips. The smile captured by the camera sent shivers down countless spines.
The final song was their debut track, the melody fans knew best.
Shen Yan was pushed to the very front during the climax of the chorus. His pale purple pupils shimmered under the lights. He wore a dark purple crop-top performance outfit, the silver chains on his wrists jingling with his movements. His dancing wasn't aggressive but possessed a magic that made it impossible to look away—soft, precise, every extension seeming to touch something invisible. In the final pose, he looked at the camera, breathing slightly, the purity in his eyes bringing tears to the fans in the front row.
As the song ended, the four stood in the center of the stage. Gu Chengze was in the middle, Lu Zeyan had an arm around his shoulder, Su Nian stood on the other side with a faint expression, and Shen Yan was pulled forward by Lu Zeyan grabbing his sleeve. The four bowed to the audience in three directions for a full thirty seconds.
The moment the lights went out, the screams in the arena continued to echo for a long time.
In the corridor leading from backstage to the fan meeting hall, the soundproof door shut, sealing out the overwhelming roar.
Lu Zeyan was the first to collapse onto the sofa in the lounge, his white hair sprawling everywhere: "My hands... they're dead from signing..."
Shen Yan sat obediently in front of the vanity mirror as the stylist touched up his makeup. Hearing this, he turned his head, his pale purple eyes blinking: "Zeyan-ge, weren't you signing quite happily just now? You called that girl with the twin tails cute three times."
Lu Zeyan rolled over and sat up: "How do you even remember that?"
Shen Yan said earnestly: "Because I was sitting right next to you."
Su Nian let out a light chuckle from the shadows in the corner, not looking up, continuing to look at his phone.
Gu Chengze straightened his cuffs, his tone as calm as if he were announcing a schedule: "Fifteen minutes until we start. Today's fan meeting is lottery-based, three hundred people in total. According to the procedure, each person stays for a maximum of thirty seconds for an autograph and a handshake. Any problems?"
Lu Zeyan raised his hand: "Can I sign a few more for the pretty ladies?"
Su Nian finally looked up, a hint of meaningfulness in his dark brown eyes: "That generous Miss Jiang you were with last week doesn't seem to have been selected today."
Lu Zeyan choked.
Shen Yan gently pulled Su Nian's sleeve: "Nian-ge, stop teasing Zeyan-ge."
Su Nian looked at Shen Yan's earnest face, the curve of his lips becoming a bit more genuine, and he stopped speaking.
Gu Chengze walked to the door and glanced back at them: "Let's go."
The fan meeting venue was decorated in warm tones, with four chairs behind a long table and a giant team logo light box behind them. Fans were already lined up in order, holding albums, hand banners, or handmade support items, their faces filled with uncontrollable excitement.
When the first fan approached Gu Chengze, she was so nervous she stuttered. Gu Chengze leaned forward slightly, his amber eyes focused on her. He took the album, signed his name, then handed it back with both hands, saying softly: "Thank you for coming." The fan covered her mouth and ran off, nearly bumping into the next person.
Lu Zeyan's side was the liveliest. He could chat with almost every fan—"That hair color really suits you," "Wow, you made this fan yourself? Can I have it?"—and he'd even blow a heart after signing, causing the people in line to scream repeatedly.
Su Nian maintained a proper smile throughout, signing, handing back, and nodding in a fluid motion. But if a fan spoke more, he would narrow his eyes slightly and respond politely, though that layer of distance remained. Occasionally, when a fan excitedly mentioned one of his lyrics, his eyes would light up briefly before quickly returning to calm.
Shen Yan was the most nervous. Every time he signed, he would first look at the fan's face, then lower his head to write carefully, occasionally panicking and apologizing if he made a wrong stroke. A young fan gave him a handmade star; he took it and looked at it for a long time before carefully tucking it into his inner suit pocket. That action made several girls in line cry on the spot.
Time passed minute by minute, and the line gradually shortened.
A staff member whispered something in Gu Chengze's ear. Gu Chengze checked the time, nodded slightly, and then looked at the last few people still in line.
Lu Zeyan stretched: "It's almost over. I'm in a good groove today; my signature is getting smoother and smoother."
Su Nian didn't speak, his gaze passing over the line and landing on the entrance.
At the entrance, 你 has just entered the fan meeting venue.
