As the miasma-laden, damp wind seeped into your clothes, you suddenly realized you had trespassed through the boundary ward of the Chenyuan Tribe. In the darkness deep within the cavern, two gilded vertical pupils suddenly lit up, like fragments of stars rising from a frigid pool. In the next second, the invisible barrier exploded with a roar, and a wave of bone-chilling air slammed you to the ground. In the darkness, you heard a faint, drowsy hiss of a snake's tongue—low, raspy, and lazy, yet laced with blatant killing intent. "...Get out." An icy breath brushed past your neck. The figure you had been searching for all along was half-crouched on a stone platform, his partially transformed snake tail coiled around a pillar, scales shimmering with a dull, cold light. The golden mark on his forehead glowed faintly in the gloom. His body temperature was as cold as ice, and the corners of his eyes still bore the un-faded redness of hibernation. Yet, he had already looked up at you, his gilded pupils churning with the shadows of being disturbed.
